Become a volunteer tax preparer and help low- and moderate-income Savannah families avoid high fees and claim all the credits they are eligible for. 

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a national IRS program that offers free tax preparation services to low- and moderate-income ($55,000 and below) families. The Savannah Coastal Empire Asset Development Coalition has been in existence for eleven years and has been providing this free income tax service to the Savannah/Chatham County area since its inception. Volunteers will receive training and become certified to prepare basic tax returns for the taxpayers of this community. Shifts are flexible to fit your schedule and you can volunteer at one or more of the 14 sites in the area.
