Step Up in the news

Step Up and its partner Consumer Credit Counseling Service have been in the Morning News lately. Our financial literacy team has been offering classes at employer sites during the last year through a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. The Jan. 3 article featured a City of Savannah employee who's been helped in repairing her credit. A schedule of  free "Mastering Your Money" classes, open to the public, is also included.
On Jan. 9, one of Step Up's most recent Neighborhood Leadership Academy graduates was featured in a front-page article. Keisha Dabney's "Low Country Time Bank" is described in some detail; read the story to find out more about it. Keisha is working to tie our community together using a new twist on a form of bartering as a creative way to respond to tough economic times.
